Ordered this for my Junie-lovin' 6 year old. I wasn't really sure what it would be like until I received it, so here is the rundown:It is about the size of a coloring book. Inside (but not on the cover) it states it is a companion to the "Mushy Gushy Valentime" book. It contains two full pages of really cute Junie Jones stickers. It also contains 4 pages of Valentine cards you can punch out of cardstock type paper, but 6 of the cards are actually the back cover of the book, so you have to cut them out (and lose the back cover in the process). There are 4-6 pages of Junie talking about Valentine's day (in "Junie" writing) for you little one to read. The Valentine cards are pretty cute, as cute as anything you would buy in boxes at the store (maybe even a little nicer, they are an assortment of rectangle, circle, and oval shapes). I also really like that there are 30 of them since that is enough cards for most school classes, if you are giving them away at school.On a personal note, I found it really annoying this year that when looking at Valentine cards, all of the Disney princess variety (and the like) came 16 to a box, which means I had to buy two boxes for my kid's 17 classmates--super annoying! I really like that this book had a good amount of cards!
I purchased this for my daughter who is 8 for Valentine's day this year. She has the entire collection of Junie B Jones books and huge fan!!! I saw this and figured it was another book to add on. It ended up being the size of a coloring book. It has Valentine's to hand out. And some are on the back of the books cover. So you either cut and ruin the back cover or don't use them. My daughter opt not to use the backcover Valentine's to keep the back attached. In the book you do get a to read some of Junie B Jones's writing. So she added it to her shelf. It is not another novel but more a Valentine's day kit of cards and a little reading section. It was still very cute for a Junie B Jones's fan!
I purchased this book not realizing it was mostly just Valentin's day cards. I was a little disappointed by the "book" portion in the middle. I use quotations for book because it really isn't much of a book to read. Just make sure you realize that what you are purchasing is a booklet of Valentine's Day cards and not a Junie B. Jones book.
I’m super disappointed in this. I thought it was a junie b Jones book. It’s not. It’s aboit the size of a coloring book, and full of some valentines. Meh. Don’t recommend
I didn’t realize this book was full of cards for valentines or I wouldn’t have bought a box of valentines as well. Not really a story to read to be honest.
I bought these for my daughter to pass out at school. The price was an average price. She enjoyed reading all of the silly jokes on the cards. There were many different styles in this one book. The only thing I will say against it is that the final six valentines are on the back cover and you must cut them out to be able to use them. I feel that is a rip off. Why not just put one more page in the book for them?
My daughter saw this book at a cute local book shop and wanted it. I checked Amazon and found it for 1/3 of the price! She loves the Junie B. Jones books. This book comes with stickers and good quality punch out valentines. This is a book with illustrations, but I would look at this item as more of a Valentines Day card purchase. This is really a great product for the price.
My niece loves Junie B and was SO EXCITED to get this. The book is huge. Great value for the money.
